Letter 2 President-Elect Barack Obama!

This is just a letter that I would like to congratulate Obama with. Wondering if I'll ever send it or if he'll see it.

First of all, I wanna thank you for being a man of great integrity, strong family beliefs, and of great candor. You are a well spoken individual, who articulates very well. U don't beat around the bush, with no pun intended, and are straight to the point.

I believe u will do well in office just because you have such charisma and a very strong support system. Americans are included in your nuclear family now. You've overcome some great obstacles in your life and aren't afraid to speak about them. That right there says a lot.

It would be a honor to meet you someday. Hopefully, the field I'm studying will allow me to have the opportunity to interview you or just shake your hand. I find you to wonderful role model. Your are what many men should be. A good husband, decent father, and accomplished individual. U bring hope to our country and many others that are anxious to negotiate with you.

It was unbelievable to see all the people who bashed you and slung dirt in your face to be sorry for how they acted and eventually showed joy when announced the new president of the US. You brought Jesse Jackson to tears.

Many people are praying that you don't bring your Muslim beliefs into the White House and in governing our country. For some reason I'm not concerned with this. I have a sister who is Muslim and is a good wife, mother, sister, and friend. If only those individuals would study the culture and belief system behind your faith and how you've also embraced Christianity, I believe their views would change. It's a fear of the unknown or what has been displayed by the radical Muslims. This is very unfortunate. Also many don't seem to know the difference with regards to the Nation of Islam and real Islamic religions.

Your are the epitome of what a family unit should be and many should focus on this more than your past aquaintances and the comments made by them. All those mudslides back-fired and just helped you campaign even more.

I'm glad u won and deserved to win. May u have a wonderful term and hopefully a second one to follow.

Thank You and God Bless!

M Candu'

What I Would Do If I Had the Chance Again

I was fortunate to graduate from H.S. with my Diploma after contemplating dropping out my sophomore year. Luckily, we located from Rockford, Illinois to Chicago, Illinois, just the right time. My thought process changed drastically.

I stopped skipping classes and school and even made the honor roll twice without trying. I also met my first love my junior year. However, I didn't attend prom or my graduation. You see I was upset that I couldn't graduate from my old H.S. like my older god-brothers had. So, of course, I remained stubborn about it. I had enough credits to graduate a semester early and that's just what I did. Now, I wish I hadn't and took some business courses instead.

Thus, in 1997 i did obtain an Office Technology Certificate from The Abilities Center, which was part of Goodwill Industries, which luckily I didn't have to pay for. I was fortunate to have had some work experience in office work so seems like I followed a decent path after all. Now I'm back in college after a quarter of completing Rockford Business College to many years to count. My then major was Medical Assistant.

Since then, I attempted to attend LBCC, when I moved out here about 2003. While being unsuccessful, I'm back and this time and will graduate in two years, with a Major in Journalism and Communications, attend my graduation, and be as active as possible in school-life as possible unlike before. Wish me luck!

Gas! When Is It Appropriate.

We all are aware of the recent gas prices being on the rise but since have gone down. Whew what a relief, however when texting one of my friends, who resides in Missouri, informed me that gas was at $2.99 per gallon. My only thought was the taxes were lesser because sales tax was removed. Really not sure but haven being from the Midwest there's sales tax on most everything.

Anyways, how about the gas that builds up in our gut? That gas can kill if you hold it in and possibly when expelled if you know what I mean. I recall in H.S. i used to love cucumbers but soon found out they didn't love me. In fact, I would blowup like a mother about to deliver twins. I was to afraid to use poop at school so I would hold it until I got home all the while hurting like I was in labor. Now that I'm older and wiser of course that's what the restroom is for so let it go. If u don't want the smell to linger just flush in between droppings. Okay, your probably asking yourself, why I'm writing about this? It goes into a story that I find quite funny.

Recently, I was in the a local store with my daughter checking out school supplies. I 'quietly lost my manner' and then the smell took over. My child was like, "Mom dang!" I simply said, "You go one way and I'll go the other before anyone comes down the aisle." So that's exactly what we did. Then a little boy happened to go down the aisle we just left. We quickly looked down the aisle to maker sure he was alright. U can't tell me that none of you or any family members have done the same. Thus, will be a second half of this topic in a later or continued blog.
